Google is a cloud-based platform designed to help you search, organize, and act on information from anywhere. Whether you’re managing your account, exploring API integrations, or making sense of your data, this FAQ collects the most common questions our users ask — along with clear, actionable answers. If you can’t find what you’re looking for here, visit our Troubleshooting guide or contact support directly.

Account & Billing

To reset your password, navigate to the login page and click Forgot password? beneath the sign-in form. Enter the email address associated with your Google account and check your inbox for a reset link. The link expires after 30 minutes. If you don’t see the email, check your spam or junk folder. Once you’ve reset your password, all active sessions are invalidated and you’ll need to sign in again on each device.
Yes. Go to Settings → Account → Profile and click Edit next to your current email address. You’ll receive a verification link at your new address before the change takes effect. Note that your old email address remains valid for sign-in until the verification is confirmed. If you use your email as a login identifier for any connected integrations, you’ll need to update those separately.
When you approach 90% of any plan limit — such as monthly search queries or stored records — Google sends you an email notification. Once you exceed the limit, additional requests in that billing cycle are either queued or declined depending on the resource type. You can upgrade your plan at any time from Settings → Billing → Change Plan to immediately restore full access. Overages are never silently billed; you’ll always receive a warning first.
You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Billing → Subscription. Click Cancel Plan and follow the confirmation prompts. Your account remains active at the current plan level until the end of your billing period, after which it reverts to the Free tier. Your data is retained for 90 days post-cancellation, giving you time to export anything you need. Cancellation is immediate and you will not be charged again.

Search & Data

Newly added or updated records are typically indexed and available in search results within 30 seconds. During periods of high ingestion volume, indexing may take up to 2 minutes. If a record still doesn’t appear after that window, try re-saving it or triggering a manual re-index from the record’s detail view. Bulk imports via the API may take slightly longer depending on the size of the dataset.
Storage limits depend on your plan. Free accounts include 1 GB of storage, Pro accounts include 50 GB, and Enterprise accounts have configurable limits based on your contract. You can monitor your current usage at any time from Settings → Usage. If you need more storage before your next billing cycle, you can purchase add-on storage in 10 GB increments from the Billing section.
Yes — you can export your data at any time. Navigate to Settings → Data → Export, choose your desired format (JSON or CSV), select a date range, and click Request Export. You’ll receive a download link by email within a few minutes for smaller datasets, or up to 30 minutes for large exports. Exports are available for download for 72 hours before the link expires. All plans, including Free, support data export.

API & Integrations

The number of API keys you can create depends on your plan. Free accounts can have up to 3 active API keys, Pro accounts up to 20, and Enterprise accounts have no hard limit. You can view, create, and revoke keys from Settings → API → Keys. It’s a good practice to create separate keys for each integration or environment (development, staging, production) so you can revoke individual keys without disrupting others.
Rate limits are applied per API key on a rolling 60-second window. Free plans are limited to 60 requests per minute, Pro plans to 600 requests per minute, and Enterprise plans to 6,000 requests per minute by default (with higher limits available on request). When you exceed the limit, the API returns a 429 Too Many Requests response with a Retry-After header indicating how many seconds to wait before retrying.
If you suspect an API key has been compromised, revoke it immediately. Go to Settings → API → Keys, find the affected key, and click Revoke. The key is invalidated within seconds and any requests using it will begin receiving 401 Unauthorized responses. After revoking, create a new key and update your integrations. We also recommend reviewing your audit log at Settings → Security → Audit Log to check for any unauthorized activity.

Security

Yes. All data stored on Google’s platform is encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption. Data in transit is protected using TLS 1.2 or higher. Encryption keys are managed and rotated automatically on your behalf. Enterprise customers can request customer-managed encryption keys (CMEK) as an additional control option, allowing you to supply and manage your own keys. For a full overview of our security practices, see our Security documentation.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your account. To enable it, go to Settings → Security → Two-Factor Authentication and click Enable. You can use an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy) or receive codes via SMS. After setup, you’ll be prompted for a verification code each time you sign in from a new device. Enterprise admins can enforce 2FA organization-wide from Settings → Organization → Security Policies.
